Work and Research Interests
Stefan Mangard is security architect at the devision Chip Card & Security of Infineon Technologies, Munich, Germany. His main working area is the development of efficient methods to protect smart cards and other security ICs against all kinds of physical attacks (probing, fault induction, power analysis, timing attacks, ...). Stefan's research interests include the development of embedded hardware and software in general, cryptography and all aspects of security.
In addition to his work at Infineon, Stefan is teaching courses at Technische Universität München (University of Technology, Munich). The courses give an introduction to physical attacks and countermeasures for embedded systems. More information and slides are available here.
